For your viewing pleasure we have just uploaded a bunch more photos from the various events that took place here at Chez UIloaSullivan and elsewhere in California over the past 6 weeks or so.
That includes this one which is probably my favorite of all the wedding photos - even though I'm not in it! It looks almost too good to be true with the gorgeous sunset, pool lighting and color-matched plants. The fact that is completely legit just goes to show the lengths we go to here at the UlloaSullivan Holiday and Wedding Resort to ensure your special occasion is as memorable as you could wish it to be.

Nik Kershaw
One thing that I haven't mentioned about my birthday celebrations so far is the birthday card I received from Nik Kershaw. Yes, the Nik Kershaw of 80s British Pop music fame - he sang 'I Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me' and created numerous other 'perfect' pop songs through the 80s and, after a hiatus in the 90s, released a couple of great albums into the 2000s. His Human Racing album was my first album purchase - on tape - and I have pretty much all of his albums in one form or another.
So, anyway, yes - I am a fan.
And M tried super hard to convince him to come to my birthday party and play a song or two acoustically. And from what I can tell, after liaising with this management and personal assistant it might have worked out - except that he then got booked to play at a festival somewhere in Europe that weekend.
So, in lieu of not being able to make it to the party he instead sent me this birthday card with a handwritten message and signature. Awesome. I'll have to figure out how to frame it.
Thank you Nik. But more importantly, Thank You M - it is my pleasure to turn 40 as your husband. You make everyday feel like it's my birthday. :)

Back To Reality
Yesterday we saw Neil, Maya, Toby and Elliot off at Fresno Airport and this morning the McFarlanes headed out early for their road trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. And I am back at work after almost three weeks, during which time Paul & Steph have gotten married in our back yard; one of us has turned 40; we've partied with Americans, Australians, fellow Brits, a Brazilian guy and a Japanese lady to the sounds of Journey at my birthday party; we've replaced our washing machine; we've swum and jet-skied at Shaver Lake; we've played late night card (and other) games; we've jumped, swum and battled in the pool; we've invented dozens of great band names; we've been to the movies and eaten at our favorite restaurants with our favorite friends and family; and so much more...
For those of you too busy - or lazy ;) - to gaze through all the photos that we've uploaded to Flickr, below are a small selection of some of my favorites from the past 3 weeks.
We would like to send a big, big UlloaSullivan Thank You to everyone who helped make it all happen - you know who you are, you're the greatest and we appreciate all you do.
The past 3 weeks have been a blast for us and we hope you have had a great time joining in all the fun. And while we're sad to have to say goodbye to our visitors, we know that we'll see them again soon - at the end of next week in the case of the McFarlanes - for more fun and frolics at Chez UlloaSullivan.

Sneak Peek - Official Wedding Photos

The rest are being edited and finalized as I type and will be shared by the couple themselves with their UK friends at their party in Bicester later this month. We'll upload some more as they have them so that those in the 'know' can check them out in advance.
