It's unusually cold here in central California right now and all the citrus farmers are in a tizzy. With temperatures dropping down to around 20 Fahrenheit (approx -6 Celsius) overnight lots of crop damage is occuring when the Oranges freeze.
It's making national news because a large percentage of the USA's Citrus crop, not to mention a host of other fruits and vegetables (Sun Maid Sultanas are processed less than a mile from my house!) is grown right here.
