Just a brief update from the Middle East. We drove past the Burj Khalifa yesterday. It's freaking tall. It's so tall that it makes the other buildings around it - that are pretty tall in their own right - seem tiny. I was hoping to go and check it out while here this week but I think the observation deck is still out of bounds after the lift/elevator problems a couple of weeks ago. Probably just as well - I'd likely have ended up with a nose bleed.
