But, chiefly, I wanted to have the opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone that made the trip so enjoyable:
Mum and Dad - for accommodations, buffet meals and the always welcomed Cadbury's Chocolate Trifles
Neil, Maya, Toby and Elliot - for journeying down to Bicester to hang out with us, and Neil for the tickets to the Derby vs. QPR game
Paul, Steph, Reece and Ellie - for a fun day at the Rugby Festival and associated trophies and for the Rabbit/Robot performance of Ellie's song
Steve and Sara - for joining us for an Indian dinner
Nick & Kate - for pointing us to the Pizza Express in Putney and for clueing us into the joys of Home Guards Bingo
Maureen - for not recognizing us when we first arrived, but patiently showing us 'Americans' how to play and win prizes in the bingo and also the raffle!
The People of Barry Island - you're well lush, you are!
Mike, Jo, Eva May and (sleeping) Joseph - for a lovely evening in Squirrel Close
Martin, Geri and Hellie - for a fabulous evening at the Old School House, replete with BBQ, homemade Apple Chutney and Damson Gin, vegetable garden tour, chicken introductions and a peak at the Nimrod cockpit in the shed
Jamie Oliver - for another fabulous meal at Fifteen Restaurant.
To all of you - we had a fantastic time and managed to squeeze an awful lot in to the trip thanks to your generosity, patience and senses of humor.
And now for the pics... (more can be found on the flickr site as usual)
