Better Late Than Never

I'm a firm believer in both that sentiment and that it's never too late.

So, while I enjoy myself - seriously, it's a 'working trip' - here in Hawaii I wanted to make sure I took a moment to recognize my good friend Steve on achieving the majestic age of 40.

Having known Steve for the best part of 30 years I can honestly say that there are those times (and photos) that we both would really rather forget. And this, I am sure, is one of them.

So, Steve - please know that wherever I am in the world - I think back fondly to those days playing Atari, then Vic-20, then Commodore 64 games while drinking Sodastream and watching seminal teenage movies like Porky's, Porky's 2, etc. when your parents weren't home. *

Hope you had a great birthday, a fun weekend of partying and the rest of the birthday month brings all you desire.

Not least because that's what I'm wishing for myself next month. ;)

* of course, I have many other fond memories of growing up together, but this is a family-oriented blog and some of those things were either dangerous, inappropriate or irresponsible to share with young and impressionable people. :)
