Dancing in the street

It's been a fairly quiet weekend here in Roppongi.

After having dinner with Hanako on Friday night - it turned out to be a couple of dishes that consisted mostly of cabbage with other stuff that Michelle wouldn't like - I've kept pretty much laid low waiting for the typhoon to roll in. I kept my date with WiiFit in the morning and realizing I needed a few supplies, I went out for a couple of hours and walked around Roppongi, browsed some books and CDs, bought a few bits and pieces for dinner and then made my way back to the apartment to chat with Michelle before she went to bed.

Around 7pm I realized that there was some banging and singing going on outside so I went to investigate and came across this little party taking place in the street next to the apartment building. There were vendors selling beer and stuff outside the restaurants, lanterns all along the street and people generally enjoying themselves. I thought about joining in the dancing but realized I wasn't wearing my fancy kimono so had to just watch from the sidelines. If only I'd known about the party I would have planned ahead!
