I'm beginning to wonder how the folks at Apple just seem to know what it is that I want from my portable music players. Does my current iPod Nano record my thoughts surreptitiously while I'm listening to music? Does it overhear my conversations with fellow travellers, colleagues, or Michelle - not sure I want them to hear those, actually - and then design products just for me?
In any case, expect one of their new devices to be on my Xmas list again this year. And before you ask, it's perfectly justified. Having to decouple my Nano from the car every time I travel or buy new music is just not the kind of hassle one expects to have in this 21st century. And as I pointed out to Michelle last night - being seen with the 'old' version at airports and on planes just won't do!
