Who do they think they are?
Do they think I'm just going to roll over and fall for their brightly colored, shiny new electronic gizmos every 6 months? Discarding my trusty, well-cared for friend in the blink of an eye because they've figured out how to squeeze something even better into a slightly smaller case? And spending a few hundred dollars of the money I had ear-marked for Michelle's birthday gift for the privilege?
And do I really need to be able to watch videos, have fancy animated graphics and games on my music player? Especially if doing so takes away valuable room for me to store music on the thing? And especially if these days I tend to listen to it as I fall asleep on the plane and therefore wouldn't really benefit from all that anyway - or if I did it would mean I arrived at my destination even grumpier and with worse jet lag than I would otherwise?
Oh no, Mr Jobs. You're not going to see me fall into the trap of your well-oiled marketing machine. I think I'll stick with what I've got thank you very much.
